This is SO gotten out of hand, its disgusting. Got 4 calls from these numbers yesterday!! What the heck is going on????

Went from Telemarketerrs calling, to a much more frequent onslaught of these pathetic Pre-recorded Automated 'Survey' type calls. Hang up on them immediately and be Sure to REPORT them all, every single call, every single time, to www.donotcall.gov !!

Someone has GOT to do something about this.

And where the heck did all the Google posts go on these?? What's up with that? You used to be able to look up one of the above Names or Phone numbers under Google and find these Posts. Have not been able to do that recently!

The new Telemarketing Law allows calls from Surveys. BUT it states that they HAVE to state who they are & give you a REAL, LEGITIMATE, WORKING Phone number to call them back at, so you can tell them to get you OFF of their calling list.

None of these do that. That's why everyone is saying that these calls are ILLEGAL.

Notice how some of these phony company names have simply changed telephone numbers and continue to call!

Also, some people have mentioned that they have found the number to "opt out" from receiving these calls. I, too, like a fool, did that once a couple of months ago when I got the first call from Markata. Since then, I receive daily calls from these numbers. It's a scam. If you supposedly "opt out" with them, all you have done is notify them that yours is a valid phone number and then they put it on all their lists and sell it to other telemarketers too.

I've reported each and every call at the Do Not Call website to no avail, and I have been on the official federal and state do not call lists since their very inception!

This is ridiculous! And has anyone else noticed that a substantial number of us posting here are all in the Phoenix area? I think our area is being specifically targeted, maybe because the scammer behind these calls knows our local government officials won't do a thing about it.

I have reported them to every agency imaginable. I haven't even had the courtesy of a single response. Arizona evidently wants these companies here. It wouldn't surpise me if there is governmental graft and kickbacks to allow these harrassment calls as long as the phony companies continue to grease the palms of our corrupt Arizona government officials.

These are NOT surveys and they are not charities either. They are recorded messages with no way to opt out of their calling or be removed from their lists. Local police aren't interested either. I haven't found a single agency or official who is willing to check into them, much less put a stop to them.

HELP! What can we do? What can anyone do?

I live in Chandler AZ and have noticed Double Eagle on my caller id for several months. Just looked them up tonight and got this website. Thank you to everyone who has posted. I now know not to answer their call. Has anyone actually talked to them? What are they calling for? Any info is appreciated as I do investigations on merchants and businesses. My new goal: to shut them down!

On the calls from Double Eagle, Markata, 42 Holdings, etc. These are all arizona based corporation and the caller I.D. #'s are jumbled. There is a service that does this for them..not sure if it's legal or not. If you go to The Arizona Corporation Commisions search page you can look up the officers for these corporations along with addresses and phone #s. If you then go the Zaba Search you can actually find out where many live along with there home phone number. For instance,

Go ahead and give Greg a call. I have investigated all of these corporations and officers and will post more juicy info later (including personal info) so that we can all make their lives as miserable as they make ours.

This afternoon I received a call from 206-278-8899. Doing a search on google turned up this number 707-432-0374 which I called and requested to be removed from their calling list.

A few minutes later and I'm here reading this thread. Maybe I shouldn't have made that call, we'll find out...

You say that all these companies are Arizona based. Their area codes aren't Arizona based and many other message threads on this site claim that they are all out of Washington state.

So what is it? Are they in Arizona or Washington state or where? A person doesn't dare call all these numerous numbers that people say can get one removed from their calling lists. I tried that once and the calls have increased ten-fold. I believe that calling those numbers to be removed simply gets one placed on even more calling lists by confirming that one's phone number is valid.

I'm sorry, but I thought my info was pretty clear. Every company mentioned on this site is in Arizona. The Phoenix and Scottsdale area to be exact. It doesn't matter what the area code says because a service has been used to alter the area code on your caller I.D. because they don't want you to know where they are. If you will simply use the link that I provided in the thread previously you will be able to find the corporate name, records, and articles of incorporation, listed with the Arizona Department Of Corporations, naming all of the officers of the corporation. Incidentally, Greg and Jill Garbero are the corporate officers for not only Markata, but also Double Eagle Data as well. Also, It would take alot of time and space just to list the 9 pages of info that I have on the Garbero's alone, (DOBs, Marriage records, Court records, Full family and Relatives backround and addresses, phone numbers, cell numbers, E-mails, etc.,). I'll try to list more info later as I have time, but for now please visit the link for corporations and look these companies up if you're interested.

I feel that the best way to stop these people is to start calling their private numbers as they have ours. These scam artists are really shocked when they answer they're home phone or cell and are told that as long as they keep calling me; I'm going to keep calling them. Even if they change their numbers it won't matter; I know who they, I know where they live, and I know how to get any information that I want. Knowledge-- thats how to do battle with these idiots.

Give these A-holes a call!!! This is their home that they just refied for a quarter million. This is probably also where they are making there calls from. If you're really ambitious and want to make some money just send them a certified letter to stop calling you and if they don't you can sue their tails off in addition to sending the government after them. Even if the Feds are slow in responding, the Corporation Commision of Arizona will pull their ticket and file charges. Incidentally, any yahoo with $150.00 can incorporate so these losers are nothing special, they're just your run of the mill bottom-feeder.

try this bug-em-in-reverse tactic:

Since it's almost Easter, find out what time sunrise is in
their home city on Sunday April 16. As you've tracked
down some of them to the Phoenix area, note that Easter
sunrise in Phoenix is 5:57am MST/PDT (8:57am EDT).

Call 'em up right at sunrise and--assuming someone answers--
say "Christ has risen, why haven't you? Now get your (bleep)
out of bed and put my (bleeping) phone number on your
do not call list!"
